One year later. . .
. . .and we're still making things. Mark concocted a breakfast parfait of yogurt, currants, pineapple and wheat germ. James is getting to work on this year's Preakness wreath. In general, we all just making a mess, and how wonderful is that?! We love our wooden blocks and the serendipity of evolving mosaic patterns!

Card tricks
James is 11, and is walking around with a new deck of cards in his sweatshirt pocket. If we made anything today, it was this: three submarine sandwiches and one memory of a good card trick. James says that a deck of cards is a great gift.
